About Me

Gwynn Alexander

Greetings, I am a PhD Student in Leadership Studies and graduate assistant in the Center for Restorative Justice at the University of San Diego. I have seven years experience as a high school art teacher serving both Orange and Los Angeles counties. I completed my master’s degree in the Social and Cultural Analysis of Education MA program at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) where I fine tuned my research to focus on the intersections of critical pedagogies, community organizing, and school-based intervention programs to address local topics of educational injustice.

My interest in community organizing also extends into the non-profit sector where I spent two years at a youth leadership organization writing and implementing training materials for administrative volunteers in organizational growth, sustainability, and measures of local accountability.
